Episode 06: How To Buy Merch At A Discount, July 4th Gear, Citi Field Tips And More

We cover quite a bit in the latest episode of the podcast. Anthony Restaino, my best friend and fellow life-long Yankees fan, joins me from Western New York to co-host.

We kick things off by talking about the new “Stars and Stripes” collection that MLB will wear on-field for the Fourth of July. The Yankees’ apparel, specifically the hat, is particularly strong in the batch currently on sale. We then also compare tips on how to buy your favorite Yankees gear below retail and/or Stadium shop prices. Then, we look ahead to this weekend, talking about Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. The Yanks visit the Mets this weekend; Anthony and I will be at Saturday night’s game so I offer a few recommendations as far as tickets and food options at the ballpark.

As always, thank you for listening – and be sure to rate, review and subscribe on your favorite podcast service. Also, have a question or need help with something Yankees-related? Reach out on social media – we’re @PinstripeLanes everywhere!

Episode 05: Best Time To Buy On StubHub, Levi’s Merch, Baltimore Tips

Lots of tips and knowledge in episode 05 of the Pinstripe Lanes Podcast. First, I’ll fill you in on the Levi’s pop-up shop that took place in the Great Hall of the Stadium over Memorial Day Weekend and how using your Mastercard could have not only saved you money there, but how it can also still save you money in other parts of the ballpark. Plus, after extensive research, I’ll let you know the best time to buy tickets on StubHub prior to a home game. And finally, if you’re headed to Baltimore this weekend to check out the Yankees at Camden Yards, stick around until the end! I have great pre-and-post game recommendations for you along with an in-game tip on buying beer.

Episode 04: Legends Review, A Child’s First Game At The Stadium And More!

In this episode of the Pinstripe Lanes Podcast, I offer up a full review of my first (and probably last) time sitting in the Legends Seats at the Stadium. Plus, we answer a couple listener questions regarding bringing an 8 year-old to a game for his first time and what some of my pre-and-post game habits and spots are. This episode was taped while I was in Las Vegas; find out why by listening and be sure to rate, review and subscribe – thanks!

Episode 03: Cheapest Legends Seats And YES Network’s A.J. Herrmann Joins Us

So how was the Legends Suite compared to everything we’ve heard about it and perhaps more importantly, how did I buy Legends tickets for below face value and under the StubHub ticket floor? I answer both of those questions to kick off episode three of the podcast. Then, I chat with YES Network Digital Content Creator A.J. Herrmann. He explains what his job is, how he landed a gig at YES and if he’s responsible for the nightly YES Network trivia music.

All kidding aside, A.J. also talks about his career path, how YES Network’s social media posts are evaluated and how the network is using tools like Facebook Live to drive both user engagement and viewership. Find him on Twitter here and of course, find us here – and be sure to rate and review on your preferred podcast platform!

Episode 02: Low-Profile Hats, Visitor’s Merch In The Stadium And WPIX’s Scott Stanford Calls In

The Yankees are on fire, winners in 15 of the team’s last 16 games. Are you feeling good enough that you’re ready to buy a new hat? Listen to this podcast first! Mike Isserlis joins us again to talk about some of the hat offerings both in and out of the Stadium, including the New Era low-profile 5950 on-field model. Plus, we chat about some of the special-event caps that the team will be donning on the field over the next few weeks. Also, I’ll fill you in on one of the most annoying things happening in Yankee Stadium that you might not know about.

Then, we check in with our guest for the week… fresh off his Monday evening newscast on WPIX-TV here in New York, PIX 11 Sports Anchor, WWE host and seven-time Emmy winner Scott Stanford joins us to talk about the Yankee he enjoys interviewing the most, what it’s like to anchor sports on the local Yankee flagship station and perhaps most importantly… what the spread inside the Stadium Press Box is comprised of.

Episode 01: Talking Taqo Cups, Thick-Cut Bacon And Visiting Angel Stadium

The Pinstripe Lanes Podcast is centered around conversations and topics Yankees fans are interested in yet don’t normally see covered by other outlets. You’ll definitely hear that in our first episode; I chat with Mike Isserlis about the podcast’s name, visiting Angel Stadium where the Yankees just swept a series against Anaheim and Mike’s go-to food at the Stadium. Then we keep with the Yankee StadiYUM chat by talking with another classmate of mine from Syracuse University, Brad Holtzman. Brad is a part of the team that have brought the Taqo Cup, or taquito, to the Stadium’s food court behind section 127. We talk about everything from how the food was created, how it ended up in the Bronx and how the price for it is set.
