I’ll tell you what it was like in the ballpark Monday for the rain delay/postponement of the game (and how I knew they weren’t playing), my new go-to bar on River Ave., why I bought from SeatGeek the other night and much more!

Also – a quick chat about the fantastic Damon Runyon Cancer Research 5K in Yankee Stadium last weekend. I ran it again this year and had a blast while of course celebrating a great cause.

Episode 22: Rick Cerrone On Baseball Digest And Great Yankee Stories

In between a story or two about me spending 24 hours in Las Vegas this week, we welcome BACK on to the Pinstripe Lanes Podcast Rick Cerrone. Rick’s career in sports and media spans over four decades. He currently serves as the Editor-In-Chief for the legendary publication Baseball Digest.

Ed note: We taped this last week; the new edition that we speak of in this week’s episode is available now!

Of course, Rick also served as the Senior Director of Media Relations for the New York Yankees from 1996-2006. He shares a few stories from those days, including working with Derek Jeter, assisting in the planning of new Yankee Stadium and a few celebrities/public figures he encountered during his time in the Bronx.

Episode 20: Mark Lobel On The Lobel’s USDA Prime Steak Sandwich

Can you believe New Yankee Stadium opened 10 years ago? We’ll be looking back on the new Stadium throughout the course of this season. For starters, the ballpark ushered in a new era of Stadium food (#YankeeStadiYUM). And when you talk about the food offerings in the venue, you simply have to begin and end with the iconic Lobel’s USDA Prime Steak Sandwich.

In this episode, we speak with Mark Lobel, co-owner of Lobel’s, about the family business, the partnership with both the Yankees and Legends Hospitality, future menu offerings and much, much more.
