Episode 12: YES Network’s Jack Curry On Covering The Yankees For TV And More!

Really excited about this week’s episode as I’m joined by someone who I’ve had on my radio show and whose work I’m a big fan of: YES Network in-studio analyst, reporter and contributor Jack Curry. For those who don’t know, Curry covered the Yankees for decades with the New York Times, then transitioned to TV full-time in 2010. We talk about that transition, especially as it relates to the trade deadline, along with a number of other topics; writing a book with Derek Jeter and now David Cone, the Jeter/Aaron Judge comparisons, a typical day’s itinerary and much more.

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed recording it, and if you do, be sure to rate/review/subscribe wherever you’re finding us. Thanks and go Yankees!

Episode 03: Cheapest Legends Seats And YES Network’s A.J. Herrmann Joins Us

So how was the Legends Suite compared to everything we’ve heard about it and perhaps more importantly, how did I buy Legends tickets for below face value and under the StubHub ticket floor? I answer both of those questions to kick off episode three of the podcast. Then, I chat with YES Network Digital Content Creator A.J. Herrmann. He explains what his job is, how he landed a gig at YES and if he’s responsible for the nightly YES Network trivia music.

All kidding aside, A.J. also talks about his career path, how YES Network’s social media posts are evaluated and how the network is using tools like Facebook Live to drive both user engagement and viewership. Find him on Twitter here and of course, find us here – and be sure to rate and review on your preferred podcast platform!
